Resolve Your Breastfeeding + Feeding Concerns
One 90-Minute Session
During this 90 minute session, a LOOM feeding consultant will come to your home, assess your feeding needs, and address any questions or challenges you may be experiencing. Our empathetic and judgment-free consultants use evidence-based approaches to help you to establish a comfortable feeding rhythm, whether your are breastfeeding, chestfeeding, bottle feeding or supplementing.
LOOM feeding consultants are International Board Certified Lactation Consultants. They are equipped to develop feeding plans for babies 0-24 months in age and can support twins, preemies and sga/lpi babies. We are also equipped to explore breastfeeding strategies, pumping strategies and alternative feeding strategies should you decide to supplement or are physiologically unable to breastfeed.
Coaching sessions work best if they are scheduled around, or close to, a feed. After your session, weʼll provide you with a care plan and continue to communicate with you via text or email to discuss your progress and concerns until you are feeding or pumping comfortably.
- Our consultants help babies between 0-24 months and help you with:
- feeding: breast, chestfeeding, or bottle feeding combo, etc.
- nipple pain
- mastitis or plugged ducts
- low milk supply
- safe supplementation
- offering a bottle
- decisions regarding transitions back to work
- extended breastfeeding (baby older than 12 months)
Meet The Consultants
I completed my post-baccalaureate work in lactation at University of California, San Diego. I was also awarded my CLEC (Certificated Lactation Educator Counselor) certificate, completed my IBCLC (Internationally Board-Certified Lactation Consultant) credentialing program, and completed 2000 clinical hours working in maternal child health care before sitting for the exam, all while breastfeeding my first child.
I have since worked in various health care systems, including as Director of the Welcome Baby Program pilot research project in the Providence health system. In that time I have also cared for families at a local community hospital, the UCLA Venice Family Clinic, UCLA Health systems, and with Growing Healthy Together. I am excited to expand the community I serve to the LOOM family.
I began my path to birthwork as a doula in 2010. I am currently serving families as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, Licensed Midwife, Certified Professional Midwife, Doula Monitrice and Placenta Encapsulation Specialist. I have extensive knowledge and training in nonviolent communication, conflict resolution, early child development and cultural diversity.
It is my honor to support families as they make, grow, birth and nourish their children with confidence and support. I am committed to peace on the earth and living in a world that works for everyone, including babies.
Jennifer loves helping new moms not only successfully breastfeed but to also manage the daily tasks of surviving motherhood. You can find Jennifer both through her outpatient practice at LOOM, and at Kaiser Permanente Hospital where she works as an IBCLC in the outpatient clinic and postpartum unit.
Jennifer hopes to nurture a community where families can find answers, become empowered, and form lifelong friendships.

My practice includes working with physicians, nursing staff, hospital administration and the Department of Public Health to create and implement education for healthcare providers that is evidence-based, and utilizes safe practices for our patients and providers. My projects have focused on improving hand hygiene, Ebola preparation, and my favorite: supporting mothers and their families so they may safely feed their babies.
It is an honor to assist families and support the transition during the postpartum period. It is my goal to increase confidence in your role as parents, while sharing infant feeding best practices. I am excited to be a part of your journey!
